Justice (Retd) Sarmad Jalal Osmany has a B.A degree from the University of Peshawar, LL.B from Punjab University and LLM degree from the University of London. He started his legal career in Karachi in 1979 and then worked for a U.S law Firm till 1985. He then, established his own practice at Karachi, was elevated to the Sindh High Court as a Judge in 1998, become Chief justice in 2009, was elevated to the Supreme Court in 2011 and retired in 2015. Justice Osmany brings a wealth of experience to his position both as an administrator and academic.
